There's a phrase my parents drummed into me as a kid.
"Don't Judge a Book by its Cover"
In other words ~ scan the synopsis, flip through the insides of the book before judging it.
We're like books too.
Filled to the brim with interesting content and stories you'd never know by just looking at the outside (our external appearance).
The good stuff, the real stuff, the stuff that makes us who we are, is tucked well below the surface of our skin.
Like any good book, looking past the cover opens us up to a whole new world of knowledge and understanding.
