It’s time for some body image quality control

On the production line at any manufacturing plant, there's a quality control process. It's that final step in the where goods are checked that they meet with strict manufacturing standards critical for customer safety.

Poor quality control = increased risk of causing harm to customers – it’s that simple. It's the most significant step in the process.

What if we applied this concept to ourselves? Only, rather than manufacturing parts, we were to put in place our own quality control process that protects our body image?  To assess the quality of information we view, the toxic friendships we expose ourselves to, to put an end to conversation topics that have the potential to harm how we think about ourselves?

This would be an intentional process to filter out the negative influences leaving more room for the positive influences in our lives.
